Meeting October 29th
Hi all,
Well Oct. 29th is the 5th Wednesday of the month so you know what that means...time to get together again. We will discuss our latest completed project and Richard will share a few of the nuggets he got at the Internet Librarian Conference. The meeting will be in the Board Room at 9 a.m.
Please let me know if you can attend.
Thanks!
Melinda

"Libraries and YouTube
Check out one of more of the following videos to see how libraries are using YouTube! Note that not only are libraries making videos themselves, they are involving patrons through video contests and other programs. And though informative, the videos are also quite entertaining!
- Demonstrating the value of your library… Zombies in the Library, by Allen County Public Library
- Providing library instruction… Tour the Library, by Harper College Library
- Promote literacy through book talks… Story Tubes
- Educate patrons and staff about library departments… TS: Technical Service, by Arlington Heights Memorial Library
- Promote special programs at the library… Teen Summer Reading @ Birmingham Public Library"

Jim Pate's Crossword
I was just wondering what everyone thinks of the idea of putting Jim Pate's crossword puzzle on our blog every month. I don't even know if it's doable. I've been looking around the Web, but most of the sites I've seen for building crossword puzzles are for printed puzzles. I'm sure such a thing exists, I just haven't ran into it yet.
The Reader is online but not his crossword. I know I look forward to doing them every month, and also do other online crossword puzzles. I just thought it might add an element of fun to the blog.

Listen Now Feature on Public Blog
Hey, I just got back from vacation and noticed the Listen Now feature. Who's doing this and what is it for? For people with bad vision? Just curious.
