Meeting Notes: March 30, 2011

Thanks everyone for making yesterday's meeting one of the best ever.

Below are the notes from the meeting. If (and I am sure I have) I missed anything or have something wrong let me know in the comments area.

Present: Tressa, Leslie, Robert, Reba, Hunter, Richard, Cheryl, Melinda
Absent: Kathy, Michael

Summer Reading
Friday June 3 will be the Friends Book Sale. Robert will be in charge of having a couple of laptops setup to register Adults for the Summer Reading program. We need to make sure we have a table and promotional materials available for this. All L2Crew staff who are able to do so are asked to help out.

The guys will create videos promoting the Summer Reading Program.

Leslie will create a Facebook page for the adult program and work with Sandi on content, prizes, etc. All L2Crew members are encouraged to participate and help make this page a success.

Dial A Story
Cheryl will be in charge of transferring Dial A Story cassette tapes to a digital format. Hopefully we can use Archives' equipment. Melinda will work with Cheryl and Archives to set this up. Cheryl will also be in charge of creating new digital stories.

Brown Bag Programs
Robert will be in charge of videotaping any of the Brown Bag Programs. Melinda will discuss with Admin about this project.

Livestreaming
Reba will research this technology and test out whether or not it has advanced enough for us to use it.

QR Codes
Richard gave us an overview and examples of QV Codes. This looks like something we can use with several of our PR pieces. Melinda will discuss this with the PR Committee.

foursquare
Melinda discussed foursquare and how we may be able to use it for BPL. Several L2Crew members are going to try it out and see how best we can use it.

Time Magazine's 140 Best Twitter Feeds

Hello L2 Crew,

In giddy expectation for our Crew Meeting this Wednesday (where Richard and Melinda have agreed to dress up as King Henry II and Mary, Queen of Scots, respectively), I wanted to share a list created by Time Magazine concerning Tweets and Twitterers.

I hope you enjoy this list and that you think of me fondly.
