Photo by J. Star @ Flickr Any ideas for leap day?

Once every four years, it seems ripe for a blog post or something. It could be just a FYI about the intercalary year or maybe some book/program tie-in?

"Leap Year occurs every four years, except for years ending in 00, in which case only if the year is divisible by 400."

Ouch, that hurts my brain. I never even know what date it is, so I never can really grasp the concept of Leap Year.

Maybe a funny pic and an explanation of what it is? Not sure if there will be programs about it or if we have books on the subject.

Sounds like something fun to blog. How about photos of staff members leaping? Or something about the scientific reason for leap year? Any other ideas anyone?

Okay. Look for a Leap Day post, but I have yet to find any library folks that jump.

If you find one, please upload it to Flickr.

Thanks
