JCPLA Staff Development Day

At our January meeting, we discussed a panel from the L2 Crew presenting at the JCPLA Staff Development Day with the topic being "Marketing the library through Web 2.0."

Our L2 Crew panel is scheduled to share their insights on how these useful (and very cool) Web 2.0 web tools can help "your library" from 3:00 to 4:00 on August 1, 2008.

With this panel discussion being about a month away, we need to decide who will be panelists.

I have no idea as to who originally volunteered in January, so if you would like to help you can be a panelist.

I would be glad to participate in and/or do the introduction for the panel.

Any volunteers?

Richard, I'm a great behind-the-scenes helper, but I would be terrible as a moderator. I hope someone from the crew has contacted you about the job.

Perhaps Kathy will volunteer to discuss twitter.

I would be happy to help out but I will be at a conference about our digital software ContentDM. I would be happy to help out with the planning and content of the discussion. And I have some screen shots from a powerpoint presentation I did about marketing our digital collection that you all may be able to use.

I'm like Tressa...I'm good behind the scenes but when it comes to public speaking I am terrible. I'll be happy to provide you with some information on Twitter, though.

After some arm twisting we have a panel. Robert, Hunter, and I will be our discussion group.

We will likely be contacting those that offered behind-the-scenes help for input.

Thanks to all.
