I love both videos! I think the Christmas theme one would fit better since it will nearly be Christmas. Nothing wrong with the monster truck one, though! Maybe if the Local Authors Expo was moved to October, it would be a better fit. Just a thought.
Interesting that you mentioned a Christmas theme. The video does not mention Christmas, use traditional Christmas colors (red & green), nor is the music a Christmas song just jingling bells. Yet every comment I hear mentions it seems like a cozy Christmas.
It is also fascinating that viewers that like the “winter wonderland” video feel it goes well with the holiday season and those that prefer the “monster truck” version enjoy the comic juxtaposition in that it does not.
I like it Richard. I would have never thought to use sounds of people talking and walking(?) and bells. Nice. And you matched the blue of the event and the snowflakes.
I guess "Christmas" was the first thing that came to mind with the sounds of jingling bells and like Tressa mentioned...the sound of a woman walking in high heels. It just sounds like Christmas to me.

Thanks for the comment.

Here's what I posted on the BPL Staff blog:
I like the first one. It's a funny contrast between the sedentary nature of reading and the muddy, wired, obnoxious world of monster trucks.
The second one needs some music to mask the clip-clop of some lady's high heel shoes. What is up with that?
That background noise on the second video reminds me of the "crowd" noise in a video golf game I used to play.
